Organizational Ethics Statement

The CEO of New Day Recovery approves and supports the ethical provision of assistance to clients who participate in agency services. New Day Recovery will not discriminate against or refuse its services to anyone on the basis of sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, culture, race, sexual orientation, spiritual beliefs, religion, socioeconomic status, language, national origin, age, disability, HIV/AIDS infections, ability to pay or notoriety of the referral source or client.

New Day Recovery accurately markets and promotes itself, consistent with its mission to strengthen individuals, families and community by creating positive, life-changing opportunities.

New Day Recovery will make decisions regarding service expansion, collaboration, and affiliation in a manner consistent with our mission.

New Day Recovery is committed to remaining a good community citizen with sensitivity to the impact our decisions may have on surrounding neighborhoods.

New Day Recovery will not enter into any contractual or casual relationship that would promote a conflict with our mission.

New Day Recovery will use ethical and accepted billing practices with all clients, funders and regulatory agencies.

The integrity of clinical decision-making is based upon the bio-psychosocial needs of the clients and not on financial incentives.

Personal behavior and professional conduct of all New Day Recovery staff shall be held in high regard and expected from all individuals at all times. New Day Recovery staff will abide by the ethical standards of New Day Recovery as well as their licensing organization.

New Day Recovery Staff and management members will set appropriate and professional boundaries with all clients. Staff and management will not accept and/or exchange gifts, money or gratuities with clients; will not promote personal fundraising to clients, will not loan and/or sell personal property to clients or witness documents unrelated to professional services rendered to clients.  The use of social media is prohibited without the approval of management.

Potential conflicts of interest shall be identified and addressed directly by the CEO and staff on a voluntary basis. If a conflict is identified pertaining to any staff person, it shall be addressed immediately.

The New Day Recovery Organizational Ethics Statement shall be communicated to all personnel at orientation and shall be reviewed annually by all personnel.

In the effort to share the New Day Recovery Ethics Statement with clients and other stakeholders, the Organizational Ethics Statement shall be posted internally and included with agency marketing literature.

New Day Recovery has a “no reprisal” system for those to use in reporting waste, fraud, abuse and other questionable activities and practices in the form of the approved Corporate Compliance Program. Such concerns shall receive prompt attention and be addressed in a timely manner.
