Men’s Drug Rehab in Trumbull County, Ohio

Trumbull County’s leaders are aware that there is a major issue with addiction in the area. The County has taken measures within the region to ensure safety and clean streets. Such as across the whole of the Youngstown region, with reports indicating instances where drug abuse is on the rise or fall. Despite (or perhaps as a result of) the decline in the availability of prescription opioids in the area, the availability of heroin has increased.

The availability of methamphetamine and marijuana has also increased, while crack cocaine, powdered cocaine and sedative-hypnotics remain widely available. The Drug Trend Report also notes that more crack cocaine dealers have started selling heroin than before. Even more ominous— heroin users seek the white powdered form because they see the increased risk of overdose as a testimony to its potency.

The Opioid Epidemic in Trumbull County

Out of the 88 counties in Ohio, Trumbull has one of the largest populations of Medicaid beneficiaries with an extreme amount of opioids.

It is not all bad news, though. The NIH has reported that overdose deaths related to prescription opiates decreased by 25%, from 4,293 in 2017 to 3,237 in 2018. Deaths involving synthetic opiates (other than methadone) decreased 20%, and heroin-related deaths decreased by 28%, from 1,000 in 2017 to 721 in 2018.

In spite of these promising figures, the COVID-19 pandemic seems to have had a negative impact on the opioid crisis in Trumbull County in 2020. There were 90 opiate-related overdose deaths in May 2020 and 107 in June 2020, which are the highest numbers seen in the area since the deadliest year in 2017. Even though these numbers are daunting, help is at hand. There is always hope for anyone to overcome an opioid addiction; no matter how severe it may be.

Men’s Alcohol Rehab in Trumbull County, Ohio

Alcohol sales have increased by 55% between 2019 and 2020 in Trumbull County. This is largely related to the impact of COVID-19 and the lockdown on people’s mental health. That said, the number of people seeking treatment for alcoholism in a drug rehab center also increased the year before. People who are struggling with alcohol addiction cite social isolation and the normalization of alcohol use at any time of day as contributing factors.

Detox

In cases of severe alcoholism, opioid use disorder and benzodiazepine addiction, clients need to go through a detox program. During detoxification, you have access to medical care around the clock, and you take part in gentle activities such as yoga and group meetings. The process usually lasts for seven to 10 days.

Inpatient Rehab

If you have a moderate or severe substance use disorder and can get the time off work or school, we strongly recommend attending residential rehab. This provides the opportunity to totally reset your lifestyle and gain a host of skills and tools in a supportive and safe environment. The program includes group therapy, individual therapy, holistic therapy, psycho-education and nutrition and fitness support.

If you have a moderate to severe substance use disorder, but can’t take time away from your responsibilities, an IOP might be the perfect first step. It is also a great way to gradually step down from residential treatment to the outside world without getting overwhelmed.

You will experience a mixture of group and individual therapy, holistic therapy, psycho-education and fitness and nutrition guidance.
